Moorion displays maps, chart-derived information, and other data from multiple sources. This page records important attribution, copyright, licensing, and safety notices for third-party data and services used in Moorion.
Not to Be Used for Primary Navigation
WARNING: Moorion is a secondary aid only. Moorion is not for primary navigation and does not replace official nautical charts, official Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs), Notices to Mariners, Notices to Skippers, visual observations, prudent seamanship, local regulations, required onboard equipment, or the captain's judgment.
Moorion is not designed, certified, approved, or accepted for SOLAS vessels, ECDIS use, commercial carriage requirements, regulated professional navigation, emergency, distress, rescue, or life-safety use.
Map, chart-derived, weather-related, restriction, depth, anchoring, shoreline, obstruction, aid-to-navigation, and other information may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, generalized, delayed, unavailable, or affected by conversion, styling, zoom level, device display, GPS error, data source limitations, or user interpretation.
Only official government charts, official publications, Notices to Mariners, local regulations, onboard instruments, real-world observations, and prudent seamanship should be used for safe navigation. The vessel's captain, skipper, master, or operator remains solely responsible for safe navigation and vessel operation.

Moorion uses Mapbox services, SDKs, map styles, tiles, and related map infrastructure.

Moorion may display or use map data that includes OpenStreetMap data through Mapbox or related map sources.

New Zealand: Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand / LINZ
Moorion may display data derived from or based on data made available by Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (LINZ), including hydrographic and maritime data from the LINZ Data Service.

United States: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Wetlands Inventory
Moorion may display or process data derived from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) if included in United States map layers.
NWI information:
NWI data is environmental geospatial information and is not navigation data. It must not be used as a primary source for navigation, legal boundary determinations, permitting decisions, anchoring legality, or safety-critical decisions without consulting official sources and competent authorities.

Apple
Moorion is distributed through the Apple App Store and may use Apple services for subscriptions, in-app purchases, refunds, device frameworks, location permissions, and App Tracking Transparency.
